Back in Aberdeen!

3 10 2008

Hey people!

So there has not been an update for quite a while, however this has been due to a rather busy period.
And we like to post quality on this blog :P

So what has been happening in Aberdeen;

Bullet Point Style!

  • New flats
  • New modules
  • New classmates
  • New ‘family member’
  • More Dutchies
  • Thesis!
  • AND DMNZN!

New flats
We have been split up this year, which is in contrast to last year. Amrit and Betty are stil residing at Woolmanhill (Uni Campus) Greg, Stephany and I have moved over to Unite; private student accommodation, with lift & personal bathrooms; well worth mentioning ;)

New Modules
New year with new modules. For this semester most of us are focusing on
- Consumer Psychology
- Marketing Communications
- Business Strategy
These are very interesting modules, however our first deadline is already approaching…

New classmates
New year with new classmates. Especially noticeable is the absence of the French society. After being represented in large numbers in the past year, they have seemed to cut back on their foreign troops.

New ‘Family Member’
We are happy to welcome Angelique Shields! Last year we met her during our Management Course and now she is sharing a flat with Stephany. This crazy, but really nice woman will be stuck with us for the coming year. A profile of this Zandvoortse lady should appear soon ;)

Expansion in our well-known Ladies Divisions; Ms Angelique

More Dutchies
After the great loss of Mr Hans-Jan-Bosscha and some other Dutch lads here in Aberdeen, we are glad to report you that the numbers have not fallen drasticly. And we still have Mr Gerrit Krale to maintain our artillery supply :P

)

Hans; A tribute to the man who brought Aberdeen in a new daylight :)

This year the ‘Orange Front’ will be strengthened by:
- Mathew ‘Hamish’ Rose
- Ramy ‘Angus’ Mohy El Dine
- Martijn ‘
Chestnut’ Weijtboer
- Ms Priscilla

P

Will they survive Aberdeen? Don't think out loud :P

Thesis
Our greatest misery for the coming year: Thesis…
Most of us are still deciding which research question will be most suitable.
But this will certainly be very time consuming!

DMNZN.com
We have launched our new corporate website! DMNZN is really becoming the Night life Portal of Aberdeen. With our offering and contacts growing rapidly, we hope to hit a milestone very soon. More info soon ;)

That is all for now!
More updates soon ;)

Good Night!

Great News! BA down Hons to go!

17 06 2008

Nearly one month after our final exam, we still did not know whether we passed our year or… not

However we have finally received all of our examination results and I am delighted to inform you that each of us has passed and achieved his or her Bachelors Degree in Management.

Obviously we are very happy with the results and it will allow us to enjoy our holiday’s even more :)

They just keep finding new ways of getting money of you :P

End of Term! Yaaayy!! :D

25 05 2008

The educational year has come to an end!
After a year filled with management studies and social activities,
Most of us have headed back home!

Betty, Greg and I went back to Holland on 19th of May accompanied by Mr Gerrit Krale :)
It was a long trip for us as we took back the ferry.
In short: our travel itinerary looked as following:
- Depart from Aberdeen to Newcastle @ 7.00 by Bus (This was an almost 7 hour bustrip!)
* Then we ‘enjoyed’ some food at a not so nice place in Newcastle
- Depart from Newcastle to Amsterdam @ 18.00 by Ferry (This takes a whopping 15 hours!)
- After that, we got stranded at the passenger terminal due to public transport strike)

All together it was a modern survival trip.

Stephany also left on the 19th of may to Holland, however she abandoned us for a more luxery option of travelling.. that woman just took the flight back :) Sending us ‘very sweet sms-jes’ during our trip :)

Amrit has been offered a great job over the summer in Aberdeen and has decided to stay over.
We wish her good luck! ;)

During the summer vacation there will not be regular updates,
We will be heading back to Aberdeen by September the first!
*kuch* Counting on the fact that we all passed our exams :) *Kuch*

I wish you all a great and amazing Summer Vacation!

*This post will be automatically delayed, due to the fact that Greg wanted to suprise his parents.
And as Greg’s parents are very loyal visitors of our website, we just couldn’t ruin it :)
Welcome back to Holland too, Mr & Mrs Flipse!*

Hey Hey Hey!!!

25 02 2008

Hey Everyone,

After weeks of pressure by Adeel, I should write something and make this web-page more colourful. So here I am entertaining you all about my experience in Aberdeen (Scotland). A city which has given us the opportunities and a lot of new experiences. As Adeel keeps everyone aware of the happenings, there is not much left to say.

Our course is great. I’m enjoying studying at Robert Gordon University. As you know I passed my first semester. Next to being a good student, I’m involved in several activities. I’m student representative for Management stage3. I’m vice-president of the Indian society RGU.

I manage a bollywood dance crew. I’m part of the dance group as well. We did a dance performance in Edinburgh on Saturday 23rd Feb’08 which was awesome.

I’ve a part-time job in the weekend at Curry’s (sales assistant).  Hmmm…what else…last but not least I’m a party organiser. Under the brand LetsEnjoy I organise Indian club parties every month.

Aberdeen is full opportunities, you just need to grab them.
