Hilarious!! X-Dutch RGU student got pranked!

19 10 2008

Hey people,

Last year when we were still in the third year, we had some Dutch people following classes in the fourth year. One of them was Joost van Kempen. Joost is a great guy and he was studying Hospitality Management last year at the RGU.

Well you do not need much background information to enjoy this great prank done by Dead Ringers :D
Thanks to Grytsje Kootstra for sharing these fantastic videos on facebook

Credit Crunch…!

11 10 2008

Anyone interested in business or even reading general news should be aware of the international credit crunch. It has been a sad month for many traders; a funny coverage by this blog

Well as students we are always in a credit crunch :P High spending – Low income! Nothing to be proud of, but hey let just say its part of the experience ;) In a way its better that the credit crunch took place now.. otherwise the older generation would blame us if it took place any later…

UK is always been more expensive for mainland Europe (or any other place for that sake) I would say our spending is rather ‘controlled’ Currently the spending ranges from: food and drink, to bus and books. Greg got himself in a private ’sub-prime’ situation :D Great numbers were mentioned, however due to confidentiality grounds I will not mention them :P However it can be said that Greg made large ‘donations’ to UK’s alcoholic industry :D While international banks are being saved by their governments, how will this scenario end for Greg…? Will the bigger authority have to step in…. Mr Flipse..? Exciting :P

Other strategy for Greg could be to copy some of the US Federal reserves tactics. Has anyone spotted this note already?

Will this be the next note?

Will this be the next note? 'Sir' Greg himself.. :)

Back in Aberdeen!

3 10 2008

Hey people!

So there has not been an update for quite a while, however this has been due to a rather busy period.
And we like to post quality on this blog :P

So what has been happening in Aberdeen;

Bullet Point Style!

  • New flats
  • New modules
  • New classmates
  • New ‘family member’
  • More Dutchies
  • Thesis!
  • AND DMNZN!

New flats
We have been split up this year, which is in contrast to last year. Amrit and Betty are stil residing at Woolmanhill (Uni Campus) Greg, Stephany and I have moved over to Unite; private student accommodation, with lift & personal bathrooms; well worth mentioning ;)

New Modules
New year with new modules. For this semester most of us are focusing on
- Consumer Psychology
- Marketing Communications
- Business Strategy
These are very interesting modules, however our first deadline is already approaching…

New classmates
New year with new classmates. Especially noticeable is the absence of the French society. After being represented in large numbers in the past year, they have seemed to cut back on their foreign troops.

New ‘Family Member’
We are happy to welcome Angelique Shields! Last year we met her during our Management Course and now she is sharing a flat with Stephany. This crazy, but really nice woman will be stuck with us for the coming year. A profile of this Zandvoortse lady should appear soon ;)

Expansion in our well-known Ladies Divisions; Ms Angelique

More Dutchies
After the great loss of Mr Hans-Jan-Bosscha and some other Dutch lads here in Aberdeen, we are glad to report you that the numbers have not fallen drasticly. And we still have Mr Gerrit Krale to maintain our artillery supply :P

)

Hans; A tribute to the man who brought Aberdeen in a new daylight :)

This year the ‘Orange Front’ will be strengthened by:
- Mathew ‘Hamish’ Rose
- Ramy ‘Angus’ Mohy El Dine
- Martijn ‘
Chestnut’ Weijtboer
- Ms Priscilla

P

Will they survive Aberdeen? Don't think out loud :P

Thesis
Our greatest misery for the coming year: Thesis…
Most of us are still deciding which research question will be most suitable.
But this will certainly be very time consuming!

DMNZN.com
We have launched our new corporate website! DMNZN is really becoming the Night life Portal of Aberdeen. With our offering and contacts growing rapidly, we hope to hit a milestone very soon. More info soon ;)

That is all for now!
More updates soon ;)

Good Night!

A brief Update! ;)

30 06 2008

Hey fine readers of our Blog! :)

Well currently four of us (Stephany, Betty, Greg and I) are still in the Netherlands.
Amrit dedicated a trip a short while ago to NL.

Currently all of us are busy working :)

Betty is doing sales and promotional work
Greg is doing sales and promotional work
Amrit is doing account management
Stephany is selling products in the drug store :P
(promotional and sales work)
I am doing consultancy and promotional work.

Although all of us are involved in activities, we are able to stay in touch through magnificent modern tools of communication :)

Spoken of modern tools, this is a rather funny ’story’ on how social media can allow us to experience pain :)
Worth reading :)

E-Pain

I wish you a pleasant life for now! :)
